CoolTouch CoolLipo™ laser lipolysis is a gentle, effective and minimally invasive treatment to remove modest areas of fat and tighten the skin from the inside out.
CoolLipo can be used to treat areas that are difficult for conventional liposuction.
The CoolLipo laser-based procedure breaks up and removes fat cells in areas such as under the neck, chin and jowls or areas with loose skin such as under the arms.
The unique wavelength of the CoolLipo laser system directly contracts collagen and tightens the skin from the inside out, an effect not seen with standard liposuction.
CoolLipo Procedure = Minimal Downtime
The CoolLipo procedure is performed at Hypatia Clinic by Dr. Stevens. Patients are awake for the procedure, and mild medication for anxiety is available if needed.
The treatment area is anesthetized and a small cannula (a wand like apparatus that contains the laser fiber) is inserted in to a small entry through the skin into the treatment area.
As Dr. Stevens maneuvers the cannula within the treatment area just under the skin, the laser melts the fat, which is simultaneously suctioned out. After changing energy settings, the laser is moved back and forth under the skin to tighten it and stimulate further collagen production to shrink the skin.
After the procedure, antibiotic ointment is applied to the small entry points and the treated area is compression bandaged. Post treatment downtime is minimal.
