Isolaz Acne Clearing
Isolaz is the latest technology for clearing acne of any kind! Isolaz is used for adolescent acne and adult acne from any cause: acne vulgaris ("common acne"), cystic acne, pustular acne, inflammatory acne, acne associated with rosacea. Isolaz works by using light of a specific wavelength designed to target and kill acne causing bacteria. In some cases, when necessary, Isolaz can be combined with levulinic acid to enhance photosensitivity. This treatment is called "photodynamic therapy" or PDT, for short.
Treatments are weekly, for about 6 to 8 weeks, short, and comfortable. The specialized tips exert gentle suction to clean debris from the pores, and light acts in conjuction with the suction to kill bacteria. A big advantage of using the Isolaz is the avoidance of potentially harmful medications. Accutane has been linked to development of adolescent depression and suicide, and tetracyclines have been linked with development of breast cancer in females. Isolaz can provide a drug free alternative for acne clearing. Control of acne is key in preventing development of acne scarring. After the initial course of Isolaz treatments, maintenance treatments are performed about once every 2 months to keep acne cleared. Adolescents and adults experience increased confidence and have a brighter outlook when their acne no longer controls how they view themselves.
